Serious spring fever, and some sad news.

Ok. This is for real. And 2 of these jeans are only a month old! And one isn't even pictured because he's wearing them today. With a BIG hole in the knee. What do I do people? Ridiculous.

And it doesn't even matter where I get them. Jeans from the Gap or from Ross wear out in the same amount of time. Anyway, I think we are ready for Spring to come so we can cut these all off and make them shorts. It's either that, or we are moving to warmer weather. Somewhere like...TEXAS.

This is also for real. And if I sound upbeat and optimistic about it it's because I'm a fake. Because in real life I'm heartbroken. I'm sad to leave our families, friends, cute neighbors/hood, and our house :( After A LOT of thought and prayer, Jared has decided to leave the family flooring business and expand his horizons. He was offered a job with a medical device company selling wheel chairs last Thursday. He accepted the job Saturday, we put our house on KSL looking for a renter on Sunday, and had it rented out by Monday. It all happened so fast that now it's sinking in and I'm so emotional about it. I know it will be so good for our little family, but seriously, I love it here. Parker is OBSESSED with his cousins, has the funnest group of little friends, and loves preschool. We love our neighbors, our ward, my job (i know it's only one client, but i love her!), we have so many incredible friends that are going to go on with their lives without us. And we're not going to be here to see it. It makes me really sad. We have to be out of our house by March 20th. I really should be packing instead of blogging, but it hurts too bad to take pictures off of the walls. I feel like I just hung them up! Anyway, I've now caught up on my blog. So it's okay for me to harrass all of you who don't. That's going to be my only way of keeping up with you all so please don't be as big of a slacker as I was! We will miss so many of you it makes me cry everytime I think about it. (some of you...not so much) Just kidding :)

Oh my just reading this post brought tears to my eyes. I would be lying if I said I'm so excited for you guys, because who are we kidding I'm so selfish and I don't want you guys to go. I know that you guys will love Dallas and probably never want to come home, but just know we will seriously miss you guys so much. I have felt so blessed to have you guys as neighbors/running buddy/therapist anyways I don't know what I'm going to do without ya Jill. I will be over next week to help ya get things packed up, so please just plan on me (ha ha ha!) And we had better run at least one last time, for old times sake!

Oh man! I loved just knowing you were "right over there." This is all so crazy (and exciting!) What an adventure for your family! You Springers/Bowcutts stick together...no one moves away! What is everyone going to do without you two? I tried to call you...but I'm sure your way in over your head packing! (Trust me, I will be there for you in any way I can. It's a huge process!)

Oh man! What an exciting adventure! It is SO hard to move out of state...at first. You guys will grow so much and discover a lot of things that you didn't know before when you are always surrounded by family. We will miss you!!

Can't believe we are aren't going to see those handsome boys of yours and of course your amazingness as well for far too long! Not sure what we will do without you guys. Besties don't come around that often...

Love you guys!

Oh Balboa!

It's just so funny how one person could be so sad to leave here and go off on an adventure, and her dear friend who just moved here from Texas could be so sad to be here. I wish we could trade places ; )

It's going to be such an awesome adventure for you! And remember, awesome craigslist deals, amazing weather, cheap housing, Texas pride, wildflowers, Seaworld! The ocean, six flags, REAL Texas BBQ (go to Pok-e-Jos for me), warm really friendly people, awesome accents, the ability to say "y'all" without sounding like a moron, family coming to visit and staying for a whole week! Rodeos, the state fair, swimming pools and getting out and not being cold, playing outside on Christmas day! Miles and miles of hike and bike trails, NO state income tax!

I could go on! I am so excited to keep up with you on this grand adventure!

I know how hard it is to leave a home you love though, I just did it eight months ago and I still miss it so much it hurts, every day.

Really though...could we trade places?

I hear you on the jeans issue. Jayben's look just like that.
Good luck in Texas. You will love it there. My sister lived there for 10 years and she still talks about it like its home.
For sure keep the blog updated to we can see what is going on.

Jill...how sad you're leaving. Not that I get to see you very often. But I'm sure it will be harder for you to attend family things, so far away. Where in Texas are you going?? Arnold's sister lives in San Antonio, so we go there from time to time.

Good luck! We'll miss you!!

Jill, this is your cousin Ali! I just read this post, and have to leave my two cents. The hardest thing I ever did was move from Utah to Missouri almost 5 years ago. Hard, hard, hard. I liked my little naive bubble life, being around family, having so many LDS people around, etc. And guess what? The first year really sucked, to be honest. Be patient because it takes a little while until you realize when you think of "home" it isn't Utah. We've now had an opportunity to move back to UT, and haven't because we love being away. You will learn so much about yourself, your marriage will be strengthened because you have to rely on each other more (instead of extended family), you are NEEDED for missionary work outside UT, and your own testimony will grow to a whole new level. Good luck, and enjoy this new journey in life! I'm excited for you!

I am laughing hard at the jeans pic! I am in the same boat but with 2 boys!!! It is unbelievable how hard they are on clothes.

As much as we will miss you and as hard as it is for you to leave, it is going to be an awesome experience!! Everyone that I have ever known that has moved out of Utah and has LOVED it!!

We love you guys!! Cole is already talking about coming to Texas to visit!

WOW Jill! That is a big move, but you will find that your family will grow even closer together by doing it, and there is lots to love about Texas! Dallas is a great area, and you will be a good asset to your new ward! I am excited for you!

Don't listen to them Jill! Come back! Kidding. (Well, not really, but I'll at least say I am.) I'll just have to come visit a lot! See ya in a month :)

Jill, what a huge change is around the corner for you all! It is exciting and frightening!

The second I clicked over to your blog and saw the pic of all the holy jeans, I laughed because I have taken that same photograph. This is why I only buy my kids' clothes on sale or used. I patch my daughters' jeans but have yet to figure out a boy-ish way to patch...don't think hearts will do.

Oh, and I am going to attempt a chair re-cover very soon. I was inspired by a decorating blog and here is a link or an address that will help you. http://www.allthingsthrifty.com/search/label/Reupholstering

And about TV...it is REALLY hard at first to do without it. But after a few months your kids will adjust and find other ways to entertain themselves. My 2 year old is harder because he is small and loves to get into things when I am in the shower, for that I turn on a short movie like one episode of Clifford on DVD. Good luck, Jill! It was great to hear from you!

Oh my gosh, Jillynda! I LOVED getting caught up on your blog just now. I'm so glad I found it today. I can't believe you are in TEXAS!!!???? Crazy! I'm a tiny bit jealous just because I think it would be such a fun, amazing, new adventure for your little family. Your boys are SO CUTE! We should have hung out while you were here, hu? I don't know if we're going to the Nordfelt reunion. I really want to, we just have to wait and see about a couple things. Are you guys coming back for it? I LOVED reading your blog and I LOVE YOU! Oh, and I'm so excited for your Mom and Dad but sad for all of you. I'm sure it will be so hard to have them gone. But they'll be amazing. Ok. I'll stop now because my "comment" could be it's own blog entry. :)
XOXOX
Wait! PS. Now you need to blog about being in Texas.
