Let Them be Little

I heard this song on the radio and it made me want to be a better mom. I even cried while I watched the video. Parker is just growing up too fast and I feel like I'm pushing him to grow up faster. Jared and I have actually let him read stories in our bed the last few nights. Then we have "family snuggle time" where he sometimes falls asleep by us. I would NEVER allow that in the past. But this song opened my eyes. I have no idea how to post the video straight from youtube so all I can do is the link. Watch it though, you'll love it.

Ok so I have to admit, I cried when I listened to this song! It's so true, we need to be thankful for our little monsters, and love them for the crazy and funny things that they do! Someday we'll laugh at all that we complain about now! Thanks for putting things in perspective, I needed that today!

Jill, I totally know that song and it is wonderful! Dan and I are VERY guilty of letting the babies sleep in bed with us (still!!!). I just cannot help it, sometimes I cannot be close enough to them. Let Them Be Little and In My Daughter's Eyes get me everytime.

I had heard that before, but watching that video got me. It's so true--they grow up so fast. Can you believe Cole is 2? You saw him when he was practically a newborn. Didn't you bring us dinner when he was born? HOly smokes...thanks for posting that Jill.

I've got to admit I've let Avaree stay up late the past few nights and I never do that but we need to live a little, right? I saw Jared on Good Things Utah today. He did good!

I LOVE that song! Thanks for making me cry! We had a "sleep in the middle" night last night! Even though I don't sleep a wink-they are my favorites! I loved seeing Parker's Christmas morning too-thanks for sharing!

Hi Friend!
I love this song! it's sooooo good! I will tell ya really quick how to post a video from you tube on your blog: lesson 101 (not in handholding) good thing.

All You Tube videos on the right hand side where it says "about this video" has a little link underneath that says "embedded"
highlight the Embedded link. Copy, and then go to your HTML posting on your blog and it will pop up after you "publish your post". does that make sense? see if you can get it to work! :)

I love country music because it can so easily evoke an emotion although Tyler doesn't let me listen to it anymore so thanks for cluing me in!

Seriously, thank you for this! Kimball is only 5 months old and I feel like I have tried way to hard to get him on a rigid schedule...I have "let loose" a little and we are just enjoying life!
