Grass, dirt, and 4th of July fun

We had a very busy 4th of July weekend. We started out by laying sod in our backyard. I can't stand having dirt in my house and on my child so I must give myself some major props. I was so good! I let Parker roll around in that big pile of dirt without saying a word! Jared was really proud of me. In the 3 day process of leveling the yard and laying the sod I think Parker had like 6 baths. I was also up until 2:00 am the night after the sod was put in cleaning my house. There is nothing like a clean house and a clean kid to help you sleep better right?

We were lame parents on the 4th and didn't take Parker to see a parade or anything. Infact, the only way he saw fireworks was because we just so happen to be at my parents house that night and the neighbors were lighting fireworks so we joined in on the fun.

Besides putting grass in our backyard, we also cleaned the cars, the walls, the floors, the laundry room, painted and hung bead board in the baby's room, then cleaned the garage.

Here are my boys hard at work. (Pictures of the baby's room will come soon)

We did manage to have a little fun. Parker ran through the sprinklers and we went swimming in our neighborhood pool. Man, I'm tired just remembering all of this!

Oh ya, AND I'm still pregnant! Seriously! This picture was at week 38. I'm now at week 40 and still counting. For all you people who have baby's early, I hate you.

OH my TUMMY! It seriously looks like you swallowed a watermelon. You could not be cuter! And don't stress about not doing fireworks with Parker. they never remember anyway (or at least that's what my husband always tells me.)

GOOD LUCK with the delivery! He can't stay in there forever...

ps. is Balboa your Oakrest name? How did you come up with that? As IF you have time to write a long essay to answer my question...

Wow! What an ambitious little weekend! Will LOVED our great big sandbox in the back yard until we planted the grass. I'm so proud of you for letting him play. Hee hee!

I can't wait to see the baby's room and in all reality, I really can't wait to see that little guy. I just plan on mine coming late, but even then, not a fun wait. Good luck with everything. We'll be thinking of you and praying for you. You and your little family are just darling!

Jill, you are nothing but a big stomach! You look so so cute! I know how miserable you must be, you are such a good sport. It will all be over soon. I hope that everything goes well and this boy decides to come out and show himself soon. Dan and I are lame parents too. We didn't take our kids anywhere but Dan's family was over ALL day and then there was some fireworks we could see from our deck, so that was the extent of our excitment. Check my blog in a couple days for some really fun stuff! My kids are so crazy!

Janet, Jill loves Rocky....Balboa...you know? Yeah it was her Oakcrest name. She's busy having a baby so I thought I'd answer for her. Any other questions?

Jill maybe you could have the baby at our friend BBQ on Monday? Kyle's in dental school...I'm sure he could handle it, plus Phil is Cyd's son...we've totally got it covered. Think about if he's not here by Monday!

Jill, You have some serious nesting going on. I can't beleive how cute you are pregnant. I'm soooo sorry he hasn't come yet. I've got 6 weeks to go and I'm misserable, I can only imagine. Hang in there.

On a side note...I can't beleive you are cleaning the house. A couple of weeks ago I was cleaning and started having contractions. So I broke down and hired a cleaning lady to clean a couple times before the babies born. I know I'm a wimp!

Anyway, I'll be praying you deliver very very soon. Maybe tonight!

So why did I not realize the actual bead board is red? SOOOO cute! I can't wait to actually remember to go up and see it! I don't know HOW you let Parker get that dirty. I got some anxiety just looking at him and imagining him walking through your house up to be cleaned off!

Yikes Jill! I'm in pain just looking at you!! Do you need help holding that thing up??!! And you always sound so chipper! The good news, of all this torture is that everyone is right, you really all ADORABLE!!! So for all of us you are hating for delivering early (Anthony - 37 weeks) :-)... We aren't real fond of you for being so cute and still ripped! Where is your water weight and swelling???!!!
As for Parker, he rocks! Good for you! He looks so happy being filthy!
Can't wait for news!!!!

I can't believe that busy weekend didn't put you into labor.
I hate people who have their babies early too. But before you know it, you have a three year old. Ya know.

I can't believe you haven't had this baby! I thought for sure you would have had him by now. I am sorry! I am one of those girls that goes early, both times. I know you don't want to hear that. I can't imagine going full term. You are still darling as ever.
I know what you mean about kids playing in the dirt. I feel the same way. Sometimes you just have to let it happen. Good Luck! We are thinking about you.

Wow, you guys are animals! Don't worry you've got plenty more years of parades and fireworks! Somebody better be letting the Cedar City Springers know when that baby comes. Please call me as well as Andy. He forgets to tell me things! I ate peach cobler last night and it was delicious!

I am totally laughing at how dumb I am for not even TRYING the link on your last page...So yeah, I am invited to view the blog. I guess I'm a little slow...(as if I'm just barely figuring this out). And yes I will totally sit with you at ward parties, we'll sit on the same pew at church, share the same callings and be visiting teaching companions FOREVER. :)

Jill, seriously you don't have to wait for me to get home before you have the baby. I'm getting so anxious so just let him out! PS- every picture of Parker just makes me laugh out loud. I can't help it! And I love the picture on the 4th of July with Lebron in the background :) Good luck and make sure someone emails me pictures of the baby asap!!

Trust me Jill, you want that baby to stay in as long as possible!! But when he does come, I will have to stop by with Keysha and see the little fella.
