Nap Time

I went in to check on P.J. during his nap the other day and he wasn't in his bed. I panicked for a quick second and then saw him in the corner, surrounded by every blanket he could find in his room, and toys. He sure looks comfy!

More Mexico!

I forgot to tell about the "Outdoor Adventure" that Jared and I went on in Mexico. It started out with us heading up the mountain, crammed into an army like truck with nothing to hold on to except for a loop above our heads. We were then harnassed (sp) up, given helmets, and put on mules (that's right, mules) who took us the rest of the way up the mountain. I thought I was going to die! The mule I was on was extra slow for some reason (I swear I had nothing to do with it), so the guide would get behind me and yell stuff to make my mule run. Did I mention we were on a mountain trail with a drop off inches from my mules hoof?! It was so scary. Once we reached the top we zip-lined down and repelled down a waterfall (that's when Jared thought he was going to die). It was incredible! We're so glad we made it back alive!

A trip to Paradise

The pools at the resort

We swam with dolphins, Kayaked, snorkeled, zip lined, repelled, and RELAXED!

These little wristbands gave us all the food, drinks, and room service we could handle for free!

Here are a few pictures of "The Grand Velas Resort" where we stayed

Jared and I recently went on a dream vacation to paradise. It was actually Peurto Vallarta, Mexico, but the resort we stayed in made it seem like we really were in paradise. It was incredible. These pictures don't do it justice! I want to go back!!!

Funnies

I was eating lunch the other day and I looked over to see Parker get the newspaper off of the table and spread it out like this. He was looking for something in the paper and couldn't find it so he started scratching his head and saying, "hmm". After a little while he said, "Mom, I can't find Spiderman". Apparently a couple of months ago my dad had shown him Spiderman in the funny section of the newspaper. So Parker saw the paper sitting there and remembered that. He opened it up until he found the funnies and looked for Spiderman. I was so impressed.

2 peas in a pod

These two boys are so much alike. It's funny. Parker wants to copy everything that his dad does. In this case, Parker couldn't quite play solitare like Jared was, but he still had to lay down, just like his dad. If only I could get Jared to eat apples like Parker does!

A fun little getaway

Last weekend Jared and I went to Park City with some of our friends. It was such a blast. We left the kids home (except for the 2 babies) while the girls had pedicure's, the boys went golfing! We for sure need to do this again soon.

I just can't get enough

I never knew being a mom would be this entertaining. Parker is so good about playing all by himself. He could play pretend for hours with his toys if I would let him. I was able to sneak some pictures of him at play that I thought were too cute to pass up.

Here comes Thomas!

Parker and I and my great friend Emily went and saw Thomas the train at the Heber Creeper. It was totally not worth the money, but Parker thought it was pretty cool.

My #1 fan

I just ran the Ogden marathon a couple of weeks ago. I was getting pretty tired towards the end and it was really frustrating because I wanted to finish strong. Just when I thought I was going to fall over dead, I saw this little boy up ahead jumping up and down. When I looked closer I saw that it was my Parker! I was so happy to see him. He ran towards me and I knew if I stopped it would be hard to get going again. So I had him run with me. It was so cute. Everyone loved him. The photographers at the end captured this picture and it made me so happy. His smile was priceless. He was so excited and he helped me to finish the race. Thanks buddy!
