Let Them be Little

I heard this song on the radio and it made me want to be a better mom. I even cried while I watched the video. Parker is just growing up too fast and I feel like I'm pushing him to grow up faster. Jared and I have actually let him read stories in our bed the last few nights. Then we have "family snuggle time" where he sometimes falls asleep by us. I would NEVER allow that in the past. But this song opened my eyes. I have no idea how to post the video straight from youtube so all I can do is the link. Watch it though, you'll love it.

Christmas memories

Handsome boys on Christmas Sunday.

My mom has a tradition of lighting Lumineers (sp) ? between her house and her neighbors house the night before Christmas Eve. It's really kind of cool.

I started a tradition back in middle school to sleep out by the Christmas tree the night before Christmas Eve. We carried that tradition over the years. It was a lot of fun this year with Parker, but I must admit, it was one of the worst nights sleep I've ever had. It was fun to be all together as a family though.

Jared reading the Christmas story in Luke 2.

This was the funnest Christmas morning ever! It's so much more fun to play Santa than I ever thought it would be. Seeing Parker's face light up when he saw what santa had brought him was incredible.

Hugging his castle that Santa brought for him.
Parker was dead set on getting Jared a "D Willy" jersy for Christmas. It was all his idea. I was surprised that he kept it a secret until Christmas. This is him giving his gift to his daddy.

He then of coarse got his Boozer jersy to match his dads. We've created a monster :)
